Formtaion of CD package

After we have pitched our presentation, it’s time to carry out our production of our CD album package.  We have decided to take each role in what we are going to do which would be less time consuming. throughout the process we would be negotiating with each other with any problems we may have and try to fix the issues.
I will be doing the front and back cover.
Yasmeen will be doing insert one and two also the CD design
and Sayed will be doing the Magazine Album advertisement.  
 

Photos

As a group, we decided to pick out the best pictures from our photo shoot which would work well   for our album and sorted them out in a new folder.

After we have chosen our best pictures, we would be using Photoshop to edit the pictures.

Wardrobe Stylist: Casual wear was asked to be worn, which connects with our music video. 

Concept: 

We need to use the main artist (Tyler Dew) for the photo shoot. We are going to do a combination of photos taken in a studio and on location. Because the song is about break up, and is on a sad subject, we want the actor to have an intense/sad facial expression. We plan to create a shallow depth of field image, having Tyler in focus and the background blurred.

Timeline:

10:10: Meet the group members, and prepare the photo shoot including the studio. (Backdrop)

10:15: Meet Tyler

10:20: Outside location, took images using the walls, trees which corresponds to our music video.

11:10: Move to take images in the studio.

12:50: Finished for lunch.

Here is the feedback which the class gave us on our mock up of the CD album which we would use to help us impove on our Album cover



The feedback which were given which were
- one classmate said she liked the idea of using the photobooth pictures for one of our inserts
- Good use of icon which links well with the music video

This is the presentation that our grouped pitched to the class in order to get feedback and what they though of our ideas.

Planning Print Work

In lesson we were told that we would be producing a mock-up of our Album CD covers. After we have done that we would present our ideas to the class.

For this task, we had to create a front and back of our album cover, two inserts for inside the album and a CD design.
At first, we decided to look at each other’s case studies to give us some ideas of what we want and to relate it to our mock-up of the album cover. After the group discussion, we decided to split the work which would make it easier for all of us, also at a faster pace.
